Part Eight, The Light; Kusaru Look Out!

[The narrator switches to Semajj in this chapter]

"Understood." I said as I turned to face my team.
"Hinsei Sadge, Zenshikou Ace, Tansujin Kusaru, Tansujin Semajj, you all understand the importance of this mission?" Tsarr asked.
"Yes!" we all answered, then we left.

"Omoi-Ya Kokoro, Kon-Seizon Rei, Tsugotsu Kaji, Karuto Sheena, Haiketsu Sora, Sabaku of the Desert, you are also requested for this mission." I said as we arrived at the Kazekage's quarters.
"Understood." Sabaku said as he stepped forward.
"You will be the commanding shinobi." the Kazekage asked.
"Correct." I responded.

The ten of us set out for the Village Hidden Under the Dragonfly or Tonbogakure.
"So Semajj where have you been this past couple of months?" Kusaru asked.
"The same place we are going." I replied.
"Witch is?" Sora asked.
"Tonbogakure."
"What?" Kokoro asked.
"Village Hidden under the Dragonfly." Sabaku replied. "but I thought the village was wiped out over forty years ago."
"It was the only survivor, Gennou, who was in Konoha-Gakure at the time, went to The Land of Swamps and rebuilt it and was the feudal lord for two weeks before he died."
"So then who issued the mission?" Rei asked.
"The feudal lords assistant." I replied. "He thinks that The Juu-Hisan Shinobi are after the him."
"Juu-Hisan? An organization?" Kaji said.
"Yes, ten shinobi who use their jiujutsu to steal and threaten the villagers, the Feudal lord didn't want any trouble, but his assistant thought otherwise and called me to go to Kiri-Gakure and tell the Mizukage about the situation."
"So we are going to defeat the Juu-Hisan?" Sheena asked.
"Yes, the Feudal lords’ assistant gave me a list of their Jutsu, here are your opponents." I replied.
They all looked at their mission sheets.
"Ha, this guy looks like a wimp." Kaji said as he took a step forward and tripped on a rock.
Sabaku laughed.
"Get up." Kusaru said as he helped Kaji off the ground.
The rest of the trip to Tonbogakure was silent, Kaji hit Sabaku in the face with a branch, which elevated into a fight resulting in a bloody nose given by Sabaku. I quickly broke it up after that.
"We're finally here." I announced as we approached the gates.
"Good," Kaji said. "I'm starving." So we went and I took them to the local ramen stand.
After that we went to see the Feudal Lord.
"Hello?" I asked as we entered the Feudal Lord's room.
"Who is it." said someone from the corner.
"Shinobi sent here to defeat the Juu-Hisan Shinobi." Kusaru said stepping forward.
"Well then you'll have to die." the man said stepping out from the shadows.
"Janpa-Bikou," Ace said as he stepped forward. "You are the Shinobi I was sent here to kill."
"Kansei-Buki, Yumiya!" Ace shouted as his Sword turned into a bow and he drew an arrow from his quiver.
"Well, aren't we skilled?" Janpa-Bikou said as he floated into the air.
"Go find the Feudal Lord." Ace said.
"Right, Kusaru, Sadge you come with me, the rest of you split up, find your guy and take him out." I said as I walked behind Ace. "Be careful, this guy is dangerous."
"Isn't everyone?" Ace said. "Now go, I got this under control."
We left the Feudal Lords temple Kusaru and Sadge followed me as everyone else spread out to kill their prey.

"So where do you think the Feudal Lord is?" Kusaru asked me.
"I'm not sure, I'm having Toki (Short for Tokiyamazaru, the Air Monkey.) track his scent.
"So do you have any clues on where the Juu-Hisan's hideout is?" Sadge asked.
"Yes, by the river on the border between the this village and the next." I answered.
"Oh Sadge I've been meaning to ask you if you have learned anything new in alchemy?" Kusaru asked as he ran beside her.
"Yes, I've been studying on Konpaku-Tensou."
"Soul Transfer, what for?" I asked. "Isn't that taboo?"
"Yes," she said. "but I've found a way around death, I can transfer a soul's power to another and make one soul as strong as two."
"Just be careful, it’s dangerous." I said, the rest of the way to the lake was silent.

"We have to be as quiet as possible." Kusaru said as he looked over at Sadge and me.
"Or else what?" someone from behind said. "You'll be caught?"
We we're captured by four of the Juu-Hisan.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here? Kiri-Gakure Shinobi, I can just see the posters, Missing-Nin from Kiri-Gakure, what a laugh I'll have when I turn your body's in." Shidousha, the leader of the Juu-Hisan said.
"Boss we've just received word that four of are shinobi have died." one of our captures said.
"Who told you this?" Shidousha asked.
"Janpa-Bikou, he was badly injured and might not make it." another said.
"This is the work of your friends I presume?" Shidousha said.
"If it was then we'll be out of here in no time." Kusaru said.
"I've had just about enough with you." Shidousha said.
"Well then throw me out." Kusaru challenged.
"Ha, ha, ha, you can't break those chains." Shidousha said. "Ganjou-Tori, take him and ready the guillotine."
"What?" Sadge shouted. " No you can't."
"Don't worry." Kusaru whispered. "I have a plan."

"The Juu-Hisan have lost Five shinobi, our numbers have been cut in half by Shinobi from the Shiki-Sato, this ninja will pay the price for one of our comrade's death." Shidousha said.
The four shinobi standing in a row a few feet from the stage where Kusaru was chained up with his head on a chopping block.
"You sure he knows what he's doing?" Sadge asked.
"Positive." I responded. 'Just not as positive as I hope I could be, this is Kusaru we're talking about.'
"Kira-Ona, will you do the pleasure of taking this guy's head?" Shidousha asked handing the Axe to the shinobi on the left of the line.
The Axe flew up into the air.
Sadge shut her eyes tight.
"What?" Shidousha yelled.
"No one can kill the almighty Kusaru!" he said as him and seven of his clones jumped down from the ceiling.
"What kind of Jutsu is this?" one of the Juu-Hisan asked.
The eight Kusaru's attacked.
"Nothin' special, just a transformation Jutsu!" Sabaku shouted as he ran from the smoke and tackled one of the Juu-Hisan. Kaji cut Sadge's ropes, then mine and we joined the battle...

The battle went on for about a half an hour.
"Give up Shidousha." Kusaru said.
"You think I have lost?" Shidousha said. "the battle has just begun!"
"You are going to die today ninja!" Shidousha said as he teleported behind Kusaru.
Sadge started running towards them but it was too late.
"No!" Sabaku shouted.
"Die!" Ace shouted as he threw a kunai and it hit Shidousha in the fore-head.
Shidousha fell backwards, Kusaru fell to the floor. I ran over to him, Kaji tried to heal him but it was useless.
"Wait, I have an idea, I can use Konpaku- Tensou." Sadge said.
"I'll do it, he's my cousin, if you can attach his soul to mine he won't die completely, his conscious will be with me." I said.
"Ok, everyone get out of here." Sadge said as she took out a bottle and some plants from her back pack.
"Is this going to hurt?" I asked.
"Not much." She replied.
"Konpaku-Tensou." she shouted.
There was a bright light, a sharp pain then there was another presence, three actually.
'What the?' I thought.
'Am I dead?' I heard Kusaru's voice say in my head.
'Impossible, I was using my lightning armor to protect you.' a harsh wolf sounding voice said.
'Maybe you were too slow.' an old and wise voice cut in.'
'What are you doing here?' Tokiyamazaru asked the voices.
'Wait, this is Semajj, Kusaru can you hear me?' I asked.
'Yeah, what happened?' he asked.
'You were killed by Shidousha.' I told him.
'Then how am I here?' he asked.
'Sadge used her Konpaku-Tensou on us, you are fused to my soul.'
'Who killed Shidousha?"
'Ace did.' I replied.
'How's everyone?'
'Sadge looked a little shaken up, Ace looked as if he was trying to fight back tears everyone else left before I noticed.' I replied.
'Well tell them that I'm ok, well kinda' you know what I mean.'
'Yeah, I will.'
Then I woke up.
"What happened?" Sadge asked.
"He talked to me, he told me to say he was fine, thanks to you."
"G..good." she said trying to hold back tears.
"I'm very sorry about your friend." The Feudal Lord said as he walked up behind me.
"Here accept this bonus money as a token of our gratitude." The Feudal Lord's assistant said holding out a bag of money.
"Thanks." I said as I took the money.
We made a trip back to Kiri-Gakure there we had a funeral for our fallen friend.
'I don't see what the big deal is, I'm right here!' Kusaru shouted in my head.
'Please don't do that, no matter what you do, they can't hear you.' I said to him.
'Fine.'
"Semajj, I'm sorry for your loss, I know he was your only family left, here take this."
Kankuro said as he handed me a Puppet. "His name is Naiguu, I'll teach you how to use him, just go to Suna-Gakure."
"Thanks." I said accepting the gift.
The funeral conductor lit the candle on Kusaru's boat and they sent him off to the ocean.
